Cabinetry installed, bench tops and sinks in, tiles started - oh and BRICKS!

Finally we have had the bricks go up about 4-5 weeks after they arrived onsite - apparently bricklayers had to be brought down from Gympie, but they have done the job in the space of a couple of days - very well done to them.

The interior has been pressing on with the tilers arriving earlier this week to get started and they are looking great so far.  The kitchen and bathrooms bench tops have been installed as well as the sinks.

The front of the house, the lower level bricks on the front will be rendered so that is why the bricks seem a bit all over the place.  The top level will be weatherboarded shortly.  The house actually looks even bigger with the bricks on now, and hoping that the exterior can catch up to the interior!

The side of the house has a much cleaner finish on the brickwork as this will not be rendered

Left hand side of the house, laundry door and glass kitchen splashback at the end

The back of the house

The right hand side of the house with the back garage door.  The brickies will be finishing this off today no doubt

It is very rough at the moment at the front door area, there will be a set of stairs from the garage around the pillar and to the front door eventually

The interior downstairs tiles, looking fabulous in all their 600 x 600 glory

The downstairs bathroom and laundry appear to have their floor and splashback tiling completed - hope they remember to put a laundry tub in the bench under those taps. :/

The beautiful kitchen and butler's pantry coming up lovely, absolutely adore the Shitake colour of the caeserstone benchtops in the kitchen, butler's pantry and the bathrooms.

The butler's pantry - the pesto linea cabinetry has gone through the butler's pantry and the bathrooms, but the kitchen has white cabinetry on the lower level.  There will be pesto linea cabinets and shelves being installed throughout the whole butler's pantry and in the kitchen (either side of the rangehood) after handover.

The main bathroom, with the tiles waiting to be laid. The darker colour is being placed around the bath hob and the lighter colour is in the walls (including the inside of the shower).  The lighter tile is the same as the floor tile, but in a 600 x 300

The double basin ensuite, which will have the same tile plan as the main bathroom (with the darker tile on the bath hob as a feature)

The waterproofing is done, stairs are in and cabinetry has arrived

There has been no progress to the exterior of the house for several weeks.  Metricon have had difficulty sourcing a bricklayer in the aftermath of the rain delays we experienced.  The bricks themselves arrived onsite at least 3 weeks ago, but no one has been available to do the job.  Metricon assure me that this has not delayed the progress on the interior, and the exterior will catch up over the next week or so.

There was more progress over the last couple of days, the cabinetry has arrived on site (yet to be installed).  The bathrooms have been waterproofed. The most exciting part, the stairs are in!

The staircase - this is Metricon's standard staircase (could not justify the cost of anything fancy).  It will have carpet and be painted eventually.  There will be a door underneath the stairs for some extra storage space too.  The entry is really nice and wide even with the stairs, so I am really pleased with the space.

The downstairs bathroom - waterproofed and cabinetry is ready to go in

The laundry cabinetry has arrived

The upstairs linen cupboard has shelving.

The master bedroom ensuite waterproofed

The kitchen cabinetry has arrived (and Mason is really happy about it)

Here is a picture of the pesto linea laminex cabinetry that will be going into the kitchen, butler's pantry and bathrooms.  I actually love it more now that I have seen it up close.

Internal walls are in...

We have had a lot of progress on the house over the last two months.  The second story went on, the roof went on and the internal walls are in.  The ducted air-conditioning, security system and vacuum-aid system has been placed in situ.  Got some new excellent pictures to show the house in its current state.

House from street view

Standing in the informal living room, looking through the dining area and into the kitchen with the door to the butler's pantry on the top left.

Standing opposite, in the kitchen, looking through the dining area and into the informal living area.

The back triple stacker doors, which will open onto the back deck/patio and pool area.

The downstairs study...

The downstairs bathroom, remembering we lost some space in our laundry for the shower space. I actually did not notice that we also lost the window in our re-structure of this space, and there is just an exhaust fan for this bathroom. Oh well.

The laundry...

Looking from the entry area to the back of the house.  The garage door and the entrance to the study on the right.  The left is where the staircase will be built.

The front 'formal' lounge room.

Looking back towards the front door.  I love the wide entrance way and am already shopping for the art work that will be going on the left side wall.

The upstairs leisure room, which flows to all the bathrooms and bedrooms.  The master bedroom is down the small hallway in the centre.
