Slab Down and Frame is Going UP!

The weather cleared up and we ended up with more side access than we thought, so the idea to dig the pool now was shut down and we have made some good progress on the construction itself now.  The slab went down, and the frame is coming up...

Standing at the bottom of the driveway, looking up to the house. You can see how the garage itself is sunken to relax the driveway gradient.  When just the slab was down, it looked like a very steep drop from the house to the garage, but now there is some framing up, it seems a bit more proportional and is certainly giving the house a very grand feel.

Standing at the side of the garage, you can see the drop down again.  The areas for the windows in the study and the family room also look quite large and very nice.

This is looking directly into the side of the garage, can see the slight drop (about 3-4 steps) into the garage. The other side of the garage is the entry, lounge room and downstairs bathroom.

Looking into the front lounge room, different sized windows - but there will be a pillar in between the windows as part of the facade.

This is down the other side of the house, going from the front lounge room, to the downstairs bathroom, laundry, butler's pantry and kitchen in the back.

This is my favourite photo so far, looking down onto the kitchen, you can see where the glass splashback is going to be installed and the triple stacker doors that are going to be across the whole back of the house.

Looking directly into the back of the house, through the triple stacker doors into the family, dining and kitchen area,

Standing in the kitchen, looking into the butler's pantry and through to the laundry, downstairs bathroom and lounge room.

Here you are standing at the door to the butler's pantry and looking into the kitchen, dining and living room.  Loving the nice big window in the family room and how wide the triple stacker doors are coming up.

This the reserve image, looking into the kitchen - glass-splashback seems to have enough elevation over the retaining wall to get a nice view into the neighbouring bushland which is great! Can see where the kitchen sink will be going.

The downstairs study, which also has a nice big window and this will have french doors for entry.

The garage slab.

The laundry slab.

The downstairs bathroom.

This one is taken from the front door, looking down the entry with the formal lounge room on the left and garage on the right. This area seems really spacious and I am loving it.

Can't wait to see how the second story is going to look once it goes on!  May even get an idea for what sort of views we will get with our elevation.
